教学内容:Sound time + Rhyme time + Checkout time
教学目标:① Can make a telephone call.
② Know the sound of the letter “o”.
③ Can say the rhyme of <Doctor Wu> and make a new rhyme.
④ Know how to care about others.
教学重点:① Can read the letter “o”with accurate pronunciation.
② Can make a telephone call.
③ Can read the rhyme with chant.
教学难点:① Can read the unknown words including “o” with what we have learnt.
② Can make a new rhyme and say it with chant.
③ the pronunciation of”doctor”.
教学过程:
Step1 : Lead-in
<Time for news>:(播放新闻联播的音乐)
Boys and girls, this is Miss Chan Broadcasting. Now it’s time for news. I have some news for you.
1.News A: On Monday morning, Yang Ling makes a telephone call to Miss Li.
This is their telephone call recorder. Let’s try to act them out.
Group 1,2,3 act Yang Ling, Group 4,5,6,7 act Miss Li. Are you ready? Go!

2.News B:On Monday afternoon, Miss Li makes a telephone call to Yang Ling.
Who wants to act this telephone call ? I’ll choose 2 students, one act Yang Ling,the other is Miss Li.
Step2 : Presentation & Practice
1. Checkout time
1)<Think and guess>
She(Miss Li) cares about Yang Ling.
A friends cares about Yang Ling too.
She makes a telephone call to Yang Ling.
Make a telephone :What does it mean?——打电话
Do you know how to make a telephone call?(板书电话用语)
Then let’s guess: who makes a telephone call to Yang Ling? (guess some girls’ names)
This is their telephone call recorder, now do you know who is she?——Su Hai
But the recorder are in disorder.
2)<Read and order>
Let’s read and order. Open your books and turn to P55. Do it by yourself.(独立完成) then you can discuss with your partner.(做完小组讨论)
This is the right order.Let’s read it together.
Here:What’s the matter? We can also say: What’s wrong?(板书,并总结关心话语)
Next: Let’s act this telephone call. I will give you 30s to prepare.

2.Rhyme time
1)New C: Summer comes, children come down flu.

When someone is ill, we should care about him.
2)<Care about others>
Look at this girl, she’s sad. What’s the matter with her? Let’s guess !
Now let’s make a telephone call to her. You can talk with your partner. You can use this sentences.(有板书参考)
3)<Watch and answer>
Actually(事实上), what’s the matter with her? Let’s watch and answer.——She has a cold and a fever.
4)<Try to say>
And what would you like to say to her?
(Eg: drink more water, take some pills, see Doctor Wu, have a rest/sleep)
5)<Rhyme time>
Read after the tape.
Read after me.
Read together.
Act it out: This is Sue, and this is Sue’s friend. They’re making a telephone call. Who wants to act Sue and this girl.(2组)
Make a new rhyme: If you want to act.Now make your rhyme and act it out.
3.Sound time
1)Learn the sound of letter”o”
This is a doctor, maybe Doctor Wang, Doctor Zhang or Doctor Chen.
This is a doctor too, but it’s a dog doctor.
Can you read it? : doctor, dog, dot, dob. So the letter”o” here pronounce ? /?/
Do you know other words including “o”?(板书学生答案)
2)Try to read
Can you read more words?
(分类单词) og/ ot/ ox/ock/co/cro: Who can read these two letters? Can you read them? Have a try!
(形式) lead the reading; read together; read after me.
3)Sound time
Look at this picture, can you find some words including “o”: fox, box, hot dog.
So we can say: The hot dog in the box is lunch for the fox. (齐读)
Is lunch for the fox? Let’s listen carefully. It’s lunch for the fox? (学士回答完整句子)
Read after chant:The hot dog in the box is not lunch for the fox.(分段跟读录音和老师,齐读)
Step3: Consolidation(绘本教学,拓展延伸)
1) Pictures book reading
The hot dog in the box is lunch for the? Can you guess?…(学生自由猜测)…
Maybe for the cock, or crocodile.(代入带读完整句子)
Why? Because the crocodile likes hot dogs very much. Here’s a story about this crazy crocodile.
And he says: I have hot dogs for breakfast. Yeah! (选学生读)
I have hot dogs for lunch. Nice!
I have hot dogs for breakfast. Great!
One day,he says: Ouch! I have a …. Then he go to the dentist’s, and Dentist Mock help the crocodile pull out the bad tooth. At last(最后), the crocodile says: I must never forget to brush my teeth.(我一定不会忘了刷牙。) Dentist Mock says :You must never forget to brush your teeth.(你一定不要忘了刷牙。)
So,what’s the matter with the crocodile? Ouch! I have a toothache.
2) Make a telephone call and chant a new rhyme(再次练习)
The cock hears his friend crocodile is ill. He cares about him very much, so he makes a telephone call to the crocodile. Can you use this new chant to make this telephone call? You can practice with your partner.(选取一组展示)(板书dentist,cock,crocodile,带读)
3)News D: Care about others(情感教育)
In our life, we may do like this(我们会有这样的行为):……Can you give them some suggestions to relieve the bad feelings? You can say: You should ……(做听音乐动作让学生说出来,其余一次性做动作演示)
We should care about others health and feelings. Also, you should care about yourself health and feelings. At last, I have some words for you: Loving others is caring and loving yourself.
